Hi Michelle, How exciting to be bringing your family on their first Disney World vacation!

I checked the Animal Kingdom calendar and Mickey's Jammin' Jungle Parade is at 3:45pm on March 30th. What time is your flight? Unless it is a late flight time, I'm afraid you'll be cutting it really close. The parade itself takes about 15 minutes to pass by you. Meaning if you were at the very start of the parade route, it would completely pass you by after about 15 minutes. However, if you are standing near the middle of the route, it would take a while for the front of the parade to get to you, then 15 more minutes for the whole thing to pass you. Looking at the map, if you were near the path that heads out of the Park (near Oasis), it may not get to you until after 4:00. That is where I would recommend you stand because if you go back towards where it begins, they rope off a lot of the route, and people are lined up to watch it. You can get "pinned" back in there and it's hard to get out. If you are needing to leave, I'd try to watch it from the edge of the ropes nearest the exit to the Park. The trouble will be that you will then need to walk out to the buses and wait for one heading to All Star Sports. The buses come approximately every 20 minutes, and you never know if you just missed one (so could be waiting the full 20 minutes for another one).

Realistically, you may not get back to your Resort until after 5:00. Magical Express will pick you up approximately 3 hours before your flight time (you'll receive the exact pick up time the day before departure in an envelope hanging on your doorknob to your room). Unless your flight is at 8:30 at night or so, I'm afraid you will be cutting it too close. Is there another day during your trip that you can watch the parade instead? I'd be happy to help you further with you planning, just send me a follow up question.

Have a Magical vacation and enjoy Disney with your family!
