Greetings, Janie, welcome to planDisney and a huge hello from Mickey Mouse & Friends!
Planning a
Disneyland Resort visit is very exciting. The websites between the two destinations work in a similar fashion for booking Disney Resort hotels, Dining and activities, both Disney destinations have the
Disney Genie+ Lighting Lane theme park ticket option, both require theme park reservations, and both also have a mobile app unique to each destination.
Janie, you are welcome to use your
Disneyland Mobile App to order and pay for mobile food and beverage orders, and to pay for merchandise in a contactless manner at many Disneyland Resort venues. To add your payment method to the app, tap on the three horizontal lines on the lower right to open “My Profile” and from there click on “Payment Method." You can also use the Disneyland Mobile App to
unlock your Disneyland Resort Guest Room door if you wish.
When you check into your
Disneyland Resort Hotel, you can store your preferred payment method to your Guest Room account to pay for Disneyland Resort merchandise, dining, and Disney’s PhotosPass Service purchases. Then, to charge to your Guest Room account, please present your Guest Room “Key to the Magic” card along with a valid photo ID. Janie, your “Key to the Magic” card acts as your Guest Room key, your charge card, and your Parking permit when registered as a Guest at a Disneyland Resort Hotel.
Once your Disneyland Resort vacation package is booked, you will need to make your
Disneyland Resort - Theme Park Reservations using your valid theme park admission, as this is the method in place at this time to visit Disneyland Resort theme parks.
Tips
1. If using a park hopper ticket, visit your first reserved theme park, and after 1:00 PM you may visit the second theme park and then go between the two theme parks until closing, pending availability. That allowance is one hour earlier than the one at Walt Disney World Resort.
2. Take a look at the
planDisney Video Library for useful Disneyland Resort planning tips!
Janie, I wish you the
happiest visit to Disneyland Resort, thank you kindly for stopping by planDisney!
