We are a fam of 5 but we are traveling with another family, using the dining plan. At 180 days, will I be able to make dining reservations for our total party of 7? Will calling be easier than online? Will I need the other family's confirm. # to link it?

    Hi Alyssa,

While calling is sometimes easier, making dining reservations online can be easy and fun. You don't need the other party's confirmation number to link it. However, you do want to invite them to join your friends and family list so that you can share the dining plans with them.

It's easy really. If you haven't already, sign up for MyDisneyExperience on the website. You'll be able to link your resort reservations and start planning your visit, creating a fun itinerary. There is an option under the My Account Menu to add family and friends. Select that and start adding guests. Include your own family too. Once you add them, you'll see an email icon prompting you to invite them. When the invitation is accepted any reservations you make on their behalf will show up in their plans as well.

As far as using the dining plan. That information will be given to your server when you go to the restaurant. It's not needed for the initial reservation.

Hope this helps. Have a magical vacation!

Meet the Panelist: Diane, Georgia

After spending 25 years in RI, my husband and I relocated to GA with our youngest, who is now in high school. I took my first trip to Walt Disney World when I was 11 and I have traveled many times since then with all different party sizes. From creating our first itinerary as a honeymooner to later creating magical experiences for our multigenerational family gatherings, every aspect of planning a vacation has been pure joy to me.  Learn More About Diane
