Fam of 4 (me, HB, & 2 sons 3 & 7) will be making our first trip to WDW June 9(our 12th anniv) - 14, 2013, staying at Wldnss Ldg w/ 4 day base tickets (will make it 5 if needed)&basic dining plan. What itinerary & dining would you suggest?

    Hi Jessica!
I can still remember my first trip to Walt Disney World like it was yesterday!! It wasn't, but the memories are so vivid...the Castle, the colors, the smells and sounds, the characters!! It will be so magical to experience it not only for YOUR first time, but through the lens of your children also.
If the 5 day ticket fits your budget, then I say go for it. But with the 4 day ticket, you should be able to do quite a bit. Your kids are young, so you don't want to have such a hard charging itinerary or they could get overwhelmed...you and your husband, too.
I would absolutely plan my first day at the Magic Kingdom (it's a nice boat ride over from the Wilderness Lodge). This is THE park that started it all in Florida, and it is the most magical of the theme parks in my mind, especially for children. I would head to Disney's Hollywood Studios on Day 2, Animal Kingdom on Day 3, and then pick your favorite (or the kids' favorite) for a 4th day. My kids always want to begin and end their vacations at the Magic Kingdom, but yours may have other ideas.

As for meals, you don't mention whether you want sit-down or counter service meals, so I'll suggest a couple. If you want more specific suggestions by park, or table versus counter service, just let me know. Whispering Canyon Cafe is right in your resort and provides a great time for the whole family, so you may want to plan a meal there. Also, two of the better character meals are Chef Mickey's at the Contemporary Resort and the Crystal Palace inside the Magic Kingdom.
I hope this gets you headed in the right direction and please let me know if I can help more!! :)
