Hey there, hi there, Shannon! We love to see you back here with another question for us!
Oh what fun! I love to hear that your family will be together and getting to celebrate your parent's anniversary at The Happiest Place on Earth. I love that you are already thinking ahead of how you can make their visit extra special. There is a complementary Honorary Citizen of Disneyland button that is usually given out to Guests by Cast Members in special instances that they might observe and want to acknowledge. I've also heard that you can go to Guest Relations and ask to be given some trivia questions to earn one, but I have not tried that myself before. You can definitely head to
City Hall and get them complimentary "Happily Ever After" buttons and grab the "I'm Celebrating" buttons for the rest of your party so everyone knows what you are celebrating.
There will be lots of magic going on throughout the resort, and Disneyland Park especially, for the 70th Celebration. For a little something special, I would look into treating them with a dinner package, like the
Paint the Night Dining Package at Plaza Inn. My favorite is the
World of Color Dessert Party, this gives you really great seating for the show and a plate full of yummy treats and drinks as well!
I know you mentioned that they have been visiting Disneyland for quite some time and maybe even a tour would be a special gift for them and something different.
A Story of Celebration tour will be available during the 70th Celebration and this may be a really fun experience for them to hear rarely heard stories, get access to a few attractions, and then get reserved viewing for Paint the Night.
Shannon, I hope your planning goes smoothly. You know where to find us with any other planning questions you might have.
Carrie
