We will be going in the fall of 2012. is there any advantage or disadvantage in waiting a bit to book our trip.....that is, we don't know what airline tix will cost yet - so we need to wait - will the prices remain the same or get more expensive in time?

    Hi Laura!

By all means, book now!  You actually have nothing to lose and everything to gain!  While you will need to place a deposit, you can be refunded 100% of your money if you need to cancel at least 45 days before your vacation is set to begin.  By that point, you should have a better idea of what your flights will cost.  Historically, WDW prices have risen with time, so I wouldn't wait another second!

You can even call to add in any discounts or promotions (such as Free Dining!) that may pop up between now and then.  I would watch websites, such as mousesavers.com and keep an eye on the current promotions.  If you see one that you qualify for, simply call 1-407-WDISNEY and have them apply it to your current reservation.  By booking early, you have an excellent chance of getting exactly the resort that you are dreaming of!
