    Hi Faith! My daughter is planning to run the Disney Marathon 2016. We are DVC members and would like to know which resort to book to make her transportation to the marathon as short and smooth as possible. Bay Lake or Boardwalk?

    As a fellow Disney Vacation Club Member, I have to say, you've narrowed it down to two great locations! 
    While I feel staying at Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort is exceptionally easy with access to the Monorail, Disney's BoardWalk Villas will provide the shortest and smoothest route for your daughter. Especially if she will be heading to/from the resort alone. At Bay Lake, she will have to transfer Monorails at the Transportation & Ticket Center both going and coming from the race. At BoardWalk, she'll only have to take a Race Transportation bus to get to/from the race area. Getting back to the resort will be extremely easy, as the buses are parked right near the finish line, and the BoardWalk Resort is right around the corner from where the buses will exit. Just make sure she looks for the sign at the pick-up location that reads Disney's BoardWalk Resort.

    Both these resort have ample access to great dining and entertainment options. So for the purposes of making sure your daughter is at ease, I suggest Disney's BoardWalk Villas.
