Hi Faith. Yes I am doing the Cinderella's Royal Family 5k in a few weeks with my friends. We were wondering how strict Disney is about the magic mile for this race. Thank you

Welcome back to the Moms Panel, Katherine!

I am so glad you have another question for me, I'm here to help make your race experience magical.

About a policy regarding a "magic mile"- I am not exactly sure what you are asking. The only Magic Mile I am aware of is a training method by the official runDisney training consultant, Jeff Galloway where you run one mile as fast as possible during a training run to help gage your potential finishing time in a long distance race.

It might ease your mind to know the Cinderella Royal Family 5k with have race clocks on the course, but the race itself is untimed. This race is a family fun run designed for runners of all ages and abilities- no need to worry about maintaining a specific pace. If I have not addressed your question, please let me know. I want to make sure you are comfortable with what to expect during this event. I can't believe we are just a few short weeks away from a fairytale weekend!

    Have a magical race!
