Hi, Faith D. Thanks for the response. For our 8:00 Crystal Palace Reservation during the Princess Half Marathon on Feb 21 we are staying at Bay Lake Tower. Should we plan on walking over?

    Welcome back, Jennifer!

Thank you so much for the follow-up, knowing you are staying at Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort helps me guide you tremendously. Great choice, by the way, it's one of my home resorts with Disney Vacation Club.

This course has princesses running right passed your resort to a loop around point that will hold you up at the light/cross walk to the Magic Kingdom - and with needing to head toward Magic Kingdom by 7:30am for your reservation, there will still be runners, and they have the right away! Under normal circumstances walking is the way to go, but not for this morning. Take the Sky Bridge from the 5th floor of Bay Lake Tower and walk over to the Contemporary - you will enter the Contemporary on the 4th floor. From there, head to the Monorail Station and take the Monorail to Magic Kingdom via the Resort Loop. This means you will just stay on the Monorail until you get to the Magic Kingdom. You will stop at the Transportation and Ticket Center (don't get off here for the Express Monorail to the Magic Kingdom, it will be way too busy getting Spectators to/from Magic Kingdom & Epcot). You will then stop at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort and Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, next will be the Magic Kingdom.

Once through the Magic Band Touch Point, take the tunnel under the train station that is on your left to help minimize "race traffic." Snake your way up Main Street USA and Crystal Palace will be on the left as well.

I hope this helps, Jennifer! In short, you'll need to take the Resort Loop Monorail, runners will be blocking you from being able to cross the street :) Please let me know if you have any additional questions or concerns on how this Royal Race may impact your vacation. I have a feeling seeing all the fun might just have you wanting to participate someday too.
