Hi Faith! Thanks for your help. We're staying at Port Orleans, French Quarter for the WDW marathon weekend. Are the race routes known, and are there viewing locations other than MK and the finish line? Breakfast suggestions would be great :) Thanks aga

    Hi, Melanie!

Thank you for following-up! This helps me to provide you with the best possible information to help everyone navigate their way around.

Some advise for you: Board race transportation by 3:30am when staying at Port Orleans - French Quarter. Even though you will be so close to the starting line you will see it from the bus, due to road closures, the route to get you there will take quite a bit of time. Go early to avoid any anxiety.

Advice for friends: Board race transportation by 4:30am (race transportation will stop completely from 5:00am - 7:00am) to get to Epcot so they may take the Monorail to Magic Kingdom. Race traffic and road closures can cause some pretty heavy traffic snarls, but the Monorail remains unaffected by these traffic issues, making Magic Kingdom (the only theme park open to spectators at 5:00am with no theme park ticket) and the finish line the best options.

Other spectating locations: Champion Stadium at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex (mile 19), Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park (mile 13  - spectators will not be allowed into the theme park until 9:00am and a theme park ticket will be required). Animal Kingdom Theme Park Parking Lot (mile 14) and Crescent Lake at Disney's Yacht & Beach Club Resort (mile 24.5).Unfortunately, race transportation is not available for these alternative options, you will need a personal vehicle to access some of these suggestions.

Breakfast options: If your friends head to Magic Kingdom, I recommend Chef Mickey's at Disney's Contemporary Resort (they could walk over there from Magic Kingdom), Kona Cafe or 'Ohana at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort, and 1900 Park Fare at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. These Monorail Resorts will keep them out of "race traffic.'

I know this is a lot! Please let me know if you have any other questions, Melanie! I'm here to help.
