I have great news; all Walt Disney World® Resort Hotels feature a mini-fridge in the room. So no matter where you choose to rest during the Dopey Challenge, you will have access to this important amenity.
If you desire a room with full kitchenette abilities, perfect for two, those are available as well. Your options for this type of room are the "Studios" located at resorts that also serve as Disney Vacation Club properties. My favorite option in this category for a race weekend would be Disney's Beach Club Villas or Disney's BoardWalk Villas. Family Suites available in a few Value Resorts also have Kitchenettes, but with only two of you, you probably don't need a suite that sleeps six.
My must-haves for in-room food and drinks during a race weekend include: a case of water, bananas, coffee, bagels, those small disposable packages of peanut butter, some PowerAde and a few other healthy snacks. I actually have found I end up not really using the fridge. Most of my food items can rest on the credenza in the room. And when you complete each of the four races, you will be given a runDisney Fitful Nutrition Box full of healthy snacks to help you recover and refuel for the next race. By the end of the weekend, you will have plenty of extra little snacks for your room.
Now, for registration:
1. Make sure you are on the
Walt Disney World® Marathon Weekend homepage on the runDisney website at Noon on Tuesday! If you look now, you will see the blue "Email Sign Up" button. That will change to "Registration" on Tuesday, you will click on that button.
2. Have your credit card number ready.
3. Have each person planning to run register themselves.
