Hi Faith -Thanks for answering my question about the Wookie Party. I was wondering about the shops on Main Street PRIOR to the party. I believe they usually stay open 1 hour past closing? Since the park closes at 8, will they be open until 9 on Thurs.?

    Hi, Amy!

Thank you so much for your patience! I've just returned for Walt Disney World® Marathon Weekend - which has me so excited for you this weekend!

And thank you for clarifying your question. Yes, the shops on Main Street will still be open at the 8:00pm park closing. However, I can't guarantee they will stay open until 9:00pm. Traditionally, when after-hour events occur, they begin ushering guests out shortly after closing so all day guests have exited the park before event preparations begin.

If your plan was to already be in the park and to begin shopping at 8:00pm, I would enter a few minutes prior to closing. Just in case they close the doors at 8:00pm, you'll at least already be inside and most likely be allowed to continue your shopping.

Have a great time at the Wookiee Welcome Party!
