Hi Faith! Signed up for the Disney Princess Half Marathon. Is it too late to sign up for the Race Retreat? Also, I'm interesting in the ChEAR squad for my husband and two children. Would I need to purchase 3 passes for them?

    Hi, Mickala!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I'm happy to hear you were able to get registered for the 2016 Disney Princess Half Marathon; it's the most magical race on earth.

It is not too late to give yourself the royal treatment with the Race Retreat option, it's currently at 55% capacity. This race enhancement is the ultimate way to ensure a comfortable experience before and after the race. You'll be able to ease your jitters by getting character photos and enjoying a light pre-race continental breakfast. Then once you've completed the race, you can head straight to the tent for a full breakfast, to retrieve your gear bag and get post-race photos with your medal.

As far as ChEAR Squad Packages go, they are amazing for families with young children! Keep in mind though, you would need to purchase the Platinum Package if you would like your family to be able to join you in the Race Retreat Tent. Children under the age of three are free, anyone older than that would need to have a package purchased for them. The Platinum Package gives spectators access to the Race Retreat Tent beginning at 5:30am (which is when your family would need to be in the staging area by due to road closures and race transportation stopping between 5:00am - 7:30am). Your husband would be able to feed the little ones and keep them entertained in the Kiddie Corner while you're running. They would also have access to the grandstand seating at the finish line to see your big moment. And if your husband is tracking you with the free Runner Tracking service, he'll get updates of your location on the course and your estimated finish time, making it easier to know when to expect to see you and when to leave the tent for the finish line.

I hope this helps, Mickala! Please let me know if you should have any additional questions as you continue planning and preparing. I am here to help you have a magical runDisney experience.
