Hi Faith! I am following up to a previous question. We are not getting our kids up at 4am to spectate. What will be the best way for them to get from Art of Animation to the finish line of the WDW Half Marathon and how long should they anticipate?

Great to hear from you again, Sarah!

The only way to get your family to the finish line from Disney's Art of Animation Resort, without a personal vehicle, would be to utilize the Race Transportation bus (the same one you will use earlier that morning, as spectators have access to race transportation as well).

Keep in mind, due to road closures in and around Epcot, buses stop running at 5:00am and will not resume until 7:00am (vehicles will also be directed to the Magic Kingdom parking lot from 5:00am-7:00am). I would estimate, based on my family's own experience of trying to get to the finish line, that it could take up to 45 minutes. I definitely recommend being at the race transportation pick-up before 7:00am, so your little ones are on the first bus to the finish line at that time.

And if I haven't suggested it already, don't forget to sign up for
Runner Tracking. This will help your spectators tremendously! Your split times and your Estimated Finish Time will be sent via text to the designated cell-phone number.

Hope this helps as you plan out race morning, Sarah! And let me know if any additional questions come up.

    Have a magical race,

    Faith
