I am fairly new to running (will officially finish Couch to 5K 8wk program next week). My first 5K race is in 15 days. I REALLY want to run the WDW Marathon wknd. I'm sure I could train for the Half, would it be completely crazy to attempt the marathon?

Hi Jill!  Congratulations on joining the sport of running family!  That is great news for you!

Finishing a marathon is really all about the training.  I think that as long as you can complete the training schedule and feel good, then it wouldn't be crazy at all.  Your training program will include running the equivalent of a half marathon anyway.  You could even try to find a local half marathon just to give you more racing experience and confidence for the marathon at Disney in January.

The 20th anniversary marathon is going to be awesome!  I don't blame you a bit for wanting to go for it!  Find a great training plan and stick to it.  You will be fine!  Good luck on your first 5K and see you at the marathon!!
