I have a 10yo & 1yo. Factoring in crowds, weather, pricing, school, etc. We have Spring break, end of May- Mid-August, or October (although I'd have to pull the 10yo from school). What's the best time for our 1st visit to WDW?

    Hi Rachel!

I recommend the end of May or anytime in October.  Both are beautiful times of the year to visit and the crowds should be relatively low; they are definitely low in October.

Spring Break is extremely crowded and while the weather is very nice, it's not a good time for a first timer because of the crowds.  Mid-August is also a busy time of the year, though not as busy as the rest of summer.  I personally don't like mid-August because it can be extremely hot and humid at Walt Disney World during that time of the year.

October is one of my favorite times to visit.  The weather is usually great and the crowds are low.  You also have the International Food and Wine Festival in Epcot during that month as well as Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party in the Magic Kingdom.  The Halloween Party is my favorite hard ticketed event in the Magic Kingdom with special activities, shows, a parade, and fireworks.  I've never met a guest who didn't enjoy trick or treating in the Magic Kingdom.

Good luck with your decision and write back if you have any more questions!
