Hi Caleb, welcome to planDisney!
Congratulations on your upcoming wedding!! There is no better place to kickstart your happily ever after journey than at The Most Magical Place on Earth. My own Walt Disney World Resort honeymoon was almost 15 years ago and my husband and I cherish those magical memories. Some of our favorite memories include being given our own boat to ride on Pirates of the Caribbean, dinner with a view at
Citricos at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort and Spa, and popcorn on Main Street, U.S.A., at 3:00 a.m.
When it comes to plussing your Walt Disney World honeymoon experience, Caleb, any of the
Enchanting Extras Collection experiences will give you and your husband an extra dose of pixie dust. I'd love to highlight a few of my favorites that I think you and your husband would enjoy.
1. Since you'll be visiting during the merriest time of year, I recommend keeping an eye on the
Disney Parks Blog for updates about this year's Magic Kingdom holiday party. Nothing says romance like hot cocoa, cookies, and snow on Main Street, U.S.A. I had the opportunity to experience last year's
Disney Very Merriest After Hours and it was definitely a trip highlight.
2.
Disney's Keys to the Kingdom Tour feels like a VIP experience, complete with insider info and access to the underground "Utilidor" tunnels. My husband surprised me with this tour a few years ago and it remains our best date ever!
3.
La Cava Experience in EPCOT offers an exclusive tequila tasting in an intimate environment. The high-quality instruction entertains while educating. For what it's worth, I think eating crickets together is quite a bonding experience!
4. Your wedding photographs will capture a special moment in time. Capture an equally special moment in time by scheduling a
Capture Your Moment session with a Disney PhotoPass photographer during your honeymoon. Available in all four theme parks, these 20-minute sessions are reasonably priced and a great way to make a moment last forever.
Enchanting Extras Collection experiences tend to book up quickly. They can be booked
online or by phone up to 60 days in advance. Guests staying at a
Disney Resorts Collection hotel can book for their entire length of stay, up to 10 days, 60 days in advance of arrival.
My last tip is to make sure you pick up honeymoon celebration buttons, which are available at Guest Relations and most retail shops in the theme parks. Cast Members are the heart of the
50th Anniversary Celebration and there's no telling what magic they may come up with for you lovebirds.
Well, I think I'm off to start planning my second honeymoon. Thanks for the inspiration! Wishing you and your husband a lifetime of magical memories. Hope to see you at planDisney again soon.
Choose magic,
Jennifer
