for extra magic hours all you need to do is go to the park when the event is happening and scan your magic band and you get in? And for example on wednesday magic kindgdom is having magic hours but i’m going to epcot during the day can i get in?

Hey there, Gisela. Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question.

Extra Magic Hours is a great benefit to Guests staying at a Walt Disney World Resort Hotel. Each day, Guests staying at a Walt Disney World Resort Hotel have the opportunity to enter a select Walt Disney World Theme Park either early in the morning before opening or later at night after closing. If you have valid theme park admission and are staying at a Walt Disney World Resort, you are able to take advantage of this perk. Your Walt Disney World Resort Hotel and tickets are linked to your MagicBand so when you arrive at the gates all you have to do is touch Mickey to Mickey and you are good to go. I do want you to keep in mind what type of park ticket that you have. If you have a standard base ticket which allows you to visit one park per day and you want to take advantage of Extra Magic Hours, you will need to stay in that theme park for the rest of your visit. Of course you can come and go as you please throughout the day, but you will only be able to return to that specific park that day. If you have a park hopper ticket where you are able to enter multiple parks in one day then you can absolutely enjoy Extra Magic Hours at one park and then hop over to another park later in the day.

I hope this helps, Gisela. If you have any other questions, please feel free to come back and ask.

Meet the Panelist: Jackie, North Carolina

I love all things Walt Disney World.  In fact, since becoming Annual Passholders, my family of 3 is always hopping in the car for a quick trip to visit with Mickey Mouse!  I've been known to make the 8 hour each way drive to Walt Disney World (in one day!) to indulge in a Mickey Waffle or enjoy a sunny day at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park.  I may have a small family, but we are always up for some BIG fun at the Walt Disney World Resort.   Learn More About Jackie
