Can I use extra magic hours the day I check in to a resort? We will be checking in in the afternoon but hope to use the morning extra magic hours on that day.

    Hi Jeff!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

Yes!  When you stay at a Disney Resort hotel you are considered a registered guest for the whole arrival day and departure day!  So that means you can enjoy the facilities of the hotel or go to the theme parks, even using Extra Magic Hours.  This is a great way to soak up every single minute of your time at Walt Disney World Resort.  Take a look at the calendar to see which parks offer Extra Magic Hours on the days of your visit, particularly your arrival day.  If you use online check-in, you will be alerted by text message or email when your room is ready, including your room number.  If you have luggage with you, you can leave it with Bell Services at your Disney Resort hotel. They will store it in an air-conditioned secure room until you are ready to take it to your hotel room (or Bell Services will deliver it to your room on request, just call them from your room or stop by their desk in the hotel lobby).

Extra Magic Hours are exclusive to Disney Resort hotel guests, when the parks open an hour early or stay open later than regular hours.  Lines can be shorter during this quieter time so you may not need to use your FastPass+ selections during this time and you can really maximise your time in the park.

Please come back and visit us if you have any further questions.  We are happy to help you plan your magical vacation to Walt Disney World Resort.
