    what is extra magic hour? Who can take advantage of it? Is there additional cost?

    Hi there, Bruce!

    Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!  I am so glad you stopped by with your question about Extra Magic Hours at Walt Disney World Resort!  

    Extra Magic Hours are exclusive to Guests of a participating Walt Disney World Resort hotel and I happen to think they are very magical!  It is a great perk to staying at a Walt Disney World Resort property, because it allows Guests to have extra time in the parks before they officially open or after they close!  It is a great time to take advantage of your favorite rides – or those that tend to have longer waits later in the day!  My family enjoys taking advantage of the morning hours before coming back to our Resort for an afternoon in the pool!  But, the evening Extra Magic Hours are fun to experience some of the rides in the dark with less than normal wait times!

    There is not an additional cost to utilize the Extra Magic Hours, but you must be a Guest at a participating Walt Disney World Resort and have a valid Theme Park ticket for that particular day.  Be sure to check the schedule of Extra Magic Hours at the different Theme Parks on the parks page or on the My Disney Experience app to make the most of your Walt Disney World Resort vacation!
