There are extra magic evening hours scheduled for the same night as the Very Merry Christmas Party. Can resort guests that are not attending the party still take advantage of the extra magic hours?

    Hi Sarah!

It sounds like you are getting ready for a trip to Walt Disney World Resort in the next few weeks, which will be the perfect way to start your holiday season. On select nights in November and December, Magic Kingdom will close early to host Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party. I checked the Magic Kingdom park hours for November and December to figure out the overlap between Extra Magic Hours and Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party. It looks like the current schedule does have Extra Magic Hours in Magic Kingdom on Friday's, which is also a day when Mickey's Christmas Party is hosted. However, the Friday Extra Magic Hours occur in the morning, rather than in the evening. I didn't find a day when evening Extra Magic Hours occurred during a party day.

In general, Guests staying at a Disney Resort hotel are able to enjoy morning Extra Magic Hours in Magic Kingdom, but only Guests with tickets to that evening's party are able to enjoy Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party. Keep in mind that park hours and schedules are always subject to change, so there may have been an update since you last looked at park hours and there may be additional updates as you continue planning your trip. I recommend that you download the My Disney Experience mobile app so you can stay up to date with the latest park hours and schedules during your magical vacation!

Feel free to send me another question if there is any more confusion with park hours. T-T-F-N, ta ta for now!
