Annika from CA Asked Please note that experiences, policies, pricing and other offerings are subject to change and may have changed since the date of this answer.

Is there an extra fee to get in to Star Wars land or The new Avengers area?

    Welcome to planDisney, Annika!

Just like you, Earth’s mightiest heroes are assembling as we speak to get ready for this summer. I’m thrilled you are asking about the Avengers Campus and Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. It’s like all the things I love combined in one question!

I can just hear the “Avengers, Assemble!” call when picturing the new Avengers Campus, a brand new Land at Disney California Adventure Park. This MARVELous campus is set to open on June 4, 2021. My son is a huge fan of the MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe), and I know this will be tops on his wish list, including attractions like WEB SLINGERS: A Spider-Man Adventure, Ancient Sanctum, the Avengers Headquarters, and Guardians of the Galaxy-Mission: BREAKOUT! I believe this will be hands down the most popular Land this summer!

Jumping over to Disneyland Park, Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge is an incredibly immersive Land that will have you convinced that you are actually on the planet Batuu and a part of the Star Wars universe! Riding Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance is an absolute must do, and Disneyland Park will be using a virtual queue to assist Guests in reserving their riding experience.

Annika, I have some awesome news! Once you have secured your theme park tickets and theme park reservations for Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park, you are all set! In other words, there’s no additional fee to enter Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge or the Avengers Campus! (Can you imagine how the Hulk would react if there was an additional charge?)

However, there are several experiences you might like that would require additional reservations or an extra cost. Two examples I can think of are building your own lightsaber at Savi’s Workshop-Handbuilt Lightsabers or creating a droid at the Droid Depot. Both opportunities MAY be available when Disneyland Park reopens, subject to availability. Currently, the Disneyland website says that you can check for reservations for Savi’s Workshop beginning April 22, 2021. Meanwhile, Droid Depot doesn’t require a reservation, so check onsite for availability.

Summon your powers and message us at planDisney with more questions, Annika. We are always ready for a new planning mission. Like Captain America would say, “I can do this all day!”
