Are there extended hours on Thanksgiving

Hello and welcome to planDisney, Ann!

Are you visiting over Thanksgiving, Ann? That is going to be so much fun! My family and I have spent several Thanksgiving holidays at Walt Disney World throughout the years and we've always really enjoyed it.

Here are the current Walt Disney World Theme Park hours for Thanksgiving day:

    • Magic Kingdom Park - 9:00 a.m. - 10:00 p.m.
    • Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park - 8:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m.
    • Epcot - 10:00 a.m. - 10:00 p.m.
    • Disney's Hollywood Studios - 9:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m.
Please keep in mind that theme park hours are always subject to change without notice. I just wanted to give you a current idea of what you are looking at. It is best to check the theme park hours for your specific date a week prior and then even the night before when you are setting your alarm clock.

If you are looking for any dining recommendations while you are there, Steakhouse 71 is a new favorite of mine. This restaurant just opened about a month or so ago and let me tell you, it's fantastic. The menu is somewhat Thanksgivingesque and I think it's a perfect choice. I've actually had everything on the dinner menu, believe it or not, and it is all so good. My favorites included the fork and knife Ceasar salad, the beef tenderloin medallions and the macaroni and cheese. For dessert, I was pleasantly surprised by the modern twist on Ambrosia and the Pear French 75 was an amazing cocktail. I can't wait to dine there again!

I hope this helps, Ann. If you have any other questions before your trip, please feel free to stop back by and ask me. I'm here to help. Have fun and enjoy!

Meet the Panelist: Jackie, North Carolina

I love all things Walt Disney World.  In fact, since becoming Annual Passholders, my family of 3 is always hopping in the car for a quick trip to visit with Mickey Mouse!  I've been known to make the 8 hour each way drive to Walt Disney World (in one day!) to indulge in a Mickey Waffle or enjoy a sunny day at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park.  I may have a small family, but we are always up for some BIG fun at the Walt Disney World Resort.   Learn More About Jackie
