Hey, there! Hi, there! I'm happy to see you again at planDisney, where you are as welcome as can be. Visiting
Walt Disney World Resort during Christmas is my absolute favorite. When you stroll down Main Street, U.S.A. with the lamplight decorations and magical window displays, it truly is the most wonderful time of the year!
Candace, like you, I think the theme parks at night have an extra sprinkle of Pixie Dust. When the sun goes down and all the lights come on, the parks are illuminated and the glow warms my heart.
As you know,
extended evening theme park hours offer a special opportunity to experience this magic. On nights this is offered, Guests staying at a deluxe resort or villa can enjoy the theme park after it has closed for everyone else, usually for an additional two hours.
The best source of information on the dates and parks for this offering is the
Hours & Events Calendar. I have found this to be updated on a rolling basis, usually showing up to 60 days in advance. As your December date gets closer, open the calendar and select the "Change Dates" link to see if your dates are posted.
Generally speaking,
EPCOT has been offering extended hours on Mondays. Looking at the calendar over the next two months, this is consistent.
Magic Kingdom Park has them on Wednesdays, but only through September. In October, it's offered at
Disney's Hollywood Studios on most Wednesdays. One Friday in
Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park is an outlier in the pattern, but it is a phenomenal opportunity for Guests to see the
Tree of Life illuminated in all its majesty.
With
Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party at the Magic Kingdom and
Disney Jollywood Nights at Hollywood Studios, I would expect extended hours to be limited to EPCOT and Animal Kingdom in December. While there is no guarantee until something official is announced, Mondays and Wednesdays are likely your safest bets.
I hope you have everything you need to
sleigh the holidays! When you pine for the sunshine of a friendly gaze,
planDisney is here to help you make the holidays feel like home.
Cheers!
Jana
