Hi Jennifer! Welcome to planDisney! I’m always counting down the days until my next Disney trip, and one of my favorite ways to get into the spirit is by watching “Behind the Attractions” on
Disney+ to learn all the fascinating details about the history of the parks. I also love revisiting classic Disney movies based on iconic attractions, like
Haunted Mansion and
Pirates of the Caribbean. Your question and eagerness to plan takes me back to when I was a little boy, awaiting my own Disney vacations. I used to order the Walt Disney World Vacation Planning VHS tapes and DVDs (remember those?) and watch them repeatedly, daydreaming about my next visit. Now, YouTube offers a treasure trove of those nostalgic videos, so it’s like a little time machine to Disney's magic!
As for your question, Jennifer, the extended hours for the parks from December 27-31, 2024, will likely be released about 60 days in advance. Since we’re just a few days shy of that window, you can expect the schedule to start appearing in about three days or so. In the meantime, I suggest playing around with
the calendar and looking at trends in the upcoming months. For example, throughout November, EPCOT has Extended Evening Hours on Mondays. These patterns could give you a hint about what to expect for late December.
I hope this answers your question, Jennifer! If you need any more help with planning your vacation, whether it’s picking the perfect Disney Character dining experience, finding the top snacking spots, or my favorite places to enjoy
Happily Ever After, both inside and outside the parks,
I’d be happy to help.
See you real soon!
Brent
