Our extended family will be traveling to Disneyland. Multiple adults will be running genie+ for the party as we may split up. Since Disneyland doesn't allow for friends & family, can we link tickets to multiple accounts?

    Hello there, Leah Frances!

Welcome to planDisney, and thanks so much for asking us a question about your pixie-dusted family vacation at the Disneyland Resort. It’s such a great destination for large groups because there's something for Guests of all ages and interests to enjoy!

Yes, you are able to link the theme park tickets for your whole group to more than one person’s Disneyland mobile app, which is a necessity when multiple people will be making the Disney Genie+ Lightning Lane selections for your party. All of the adults in your family with a mobile device can have the tickets linked to their app for when you want to split up and visit different attractions.

I recommend utilizing MagicBand+ for your group, especially if you’ll be exploring the theme parks with kids. These are wristbands that each Guest can tap to easily enter the parks and check in at Lightning Lane entrances, and they glow in multiple color themes plus pulse with vibrations. The bands make navigating more convenient and are a magical, engaging way to remain hands-free in the parks!

If you already have all your tickets and are ready to link them to your Disneyland Resort mobile app, the process is easy! After launching the app and logging in to your Disney account, tap the three stacked lines near the bottom right of the screen, and then select the “Tickets and Passes” section. Tap the “+” symbol in the upper right corner and use the “Link Tickets & Passes” button to add a ticket. Lastly, either scan the ticket barcode with your phone’s camera or manually type the ID number for each ticket. This process can be repeated by every person who wishes to link the group’s tickets to their app.

I hope these instructions help, Leah Frances. Please feel free to write back with any other questions you may have about planning your family’s vacation as your visit to the Happiest Place on Earth approaches!

    Wishing you magic,
