My extended family is planning a family trip to Disney World later this year, and we are staying in different on-property Disney hotels. Can the people not staying with us take an Uber to our hotel to spend time with my kids there?

    Hello Kristen!

Wow, I bet you are getting excited about your family's Walt Disney World vacation! I love planning and looking forward to my Walt Disney World vacations, as I am sure you do!

Yes, your family can visit you at whatever Walt Disney World Resort you are staying at to spend time with your kids and explore the Resort. They can arrive by a ride-share service such as Lyft or Uber. The Lyft or Uber driver will tell the Cast Member at the security gate at the entrance of Walt Disney World Resort that they are dropping off Guests. According to my experiences, at the security gate to the Resort, the Cast Member will ask for a photo ID, such as a driver's license and the name of the person coming into the Resort; also, they may ask what Guest or Guests they are visiting. Also, give your visiting family members the Walt Disney World Resort room number that you are staying in. It can help speed up the process of looking up and verifying that you are a Guest staying at that particular Resort. When your family is done visiting you, they can get a Lyft or Uber to pick them up using the respective Lyft or Uber mobile apps. I have done this many times on my Walt Disney World vacations, and it works great.

I hope you have a magical time when your family visits you at your Walt Disney World Resort!
