Extended Evening Hours: since I have to make my per-park reservations in advance (don’t want park hopper), how will I know which parks are open late on which days? Can I change my park reservations around later if needed to take advantage of EEH? Thanks!

    Hey there, Ariadne!

Welcome to planDisney and thanks for stopping by with your Walt Disney World Resort vacation planning question. I'm so excited to hear that you're planning to visit The Most Magical Place on Earth in early 2024! You've come to the right place, Ariadne. I'm happy to help you prepare for a magical and memorable trip to the Walt Disney World Resort!

At this time, theme park hours are released approximately 60-75 days in advance and published on the Hours & Events Calendar on the Walt Disney World Resort website and the Park Hours & Info tab in the My Disney Experience mobile app. Extended evening hours (a special benefit for Guests staying at Deluxe Villa Resorts, Deluxe Resort hotels, and other select hotels) are also announced approximately 60-75 days in advance. Since you'll be visiting in early January 2024, I'd expect theme park hours and extended evening hours for your visit to be published in late October or early November 2023. (Keep in mind that theme park hours and availability are subject to change.)

I completely understand wanting to take advantage of extended evening hours to maximize your time in the theme parks, Ariadne! When combined with early theme park entry, Disney Resort hotel Guests can make the most of their park days by minimizing their attraction wait times from sunrise to late at night. As you mentioned, theme park reservations will be required for Guests using date-based theme park tickets through January 8, 2024. However, I'm happy to inform you that, pending availability, you'll be able to easily modify your theme park reservations on the Walt Disney World Resort website once hours are released closer to your visit! To do this, simply navigate to "Theme Park Reservations" under the My Disney Experience tab, then select "Make or Modify Theme Park Reservations." Next, scroll down to locate the theme park reservation you'd like to change and tap "Modify Reservation." Follow the onscreen prompts to modify the Guest(s), date, and/or theme park for your reservation!

Ariadne, I hope you've found this information helpful as you continue to plan an adventure-filled visit to the Walt Disney World Resort! I'm wishing you many magical hours in the theme parks. If you have any additional planning questions, please feel free to stop back by planDisney again anytime. We're all ears!

    See ya real soon,

    Lauren
