Hi Ann, welcome to planDisney!
This foolish mortal is excited to hear you'll be visiting The Most Magical Place on Earth during the spooktacular
fall season. Walt Disney World Resort certainly has the treat portion of trick or treating down. Last year's personal favorites included the Halloween Lunch Box Tart at
Woody's Lunch Box in Hollywood Studios and the Pumpkin Spice Marshmallows from
The Ganachary in Disney Springs.
So far, Madame Leota has been unsuccessful in predicting the specific plans Walt Disney World has for seasonal special events this year. Last year's Disney After Hours Boo Bash took place in Magic Kingdom park on select nights mid-August through October 31.
Extended evening theme park hours began in October, as well, which seems to set the precedence that these two offerings are not mutually exclusive. In fact, I had the pleasure of experiencing Disney After Hours Boo Bash and Extended Evening Theme Park Hours at Magic Kingdom park in the same week last year. This combination allowed me to experience multiple attractions with a minimal wait time, which was a ghoulish delight!
As we approach the halfway to Halloween mark, Ann, I encourage you to keep an eye on the
Disney Parks Blog for announcements regarding any seasonal special events that will be taking place this fall. I also encourage you to bookmark the extended evening theme park hours page and check back regularly for updated dates. The calendar (found at the bottom of the webpage) currently shows dates through the end of June. If you'd like to go ahead and make
theme park reservations for your travel dates, it might be helpful to note that extended evening hours for EPCOT currently take place on Mondays and extended evening hours for Magic Kingdom take place on Wednesdays. Dates are subject to change, of course, but that gives you a starting point.
Please come back and see us at planDisney again soon. We're just
dying to help you plan your Disney vacation!
