Hi, Rhonda!
I’m glad to hear you’re planning a visit to The Happiest Place on Earth this holiday season! That’s one of my favorite times of year to explore Disney Parks because of the festive decorations, entertainment and special treats. My favorite dessert at the Disneyland Resort is the Yule Log cake at Plaza Inn restaurant, a treat only available during the holidays. It’s a chocolate and cream swirl cake with a layer of ganache that’s decorated to look like wood bark…indulgent and delicious!
My suggestion for your Christmas dinner is Carthay Circle Restaurant at Disney California Adventure Park, where the 1930s Hollywood atmosphere will make for a special meal. It’s on the second floor of the park’s reproduction of Carthay Circle Theatre, where
Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs premiered, so the much of the restaurant’s décor pays homage to the film and Walt Disney. This restaurant is luxurious and rich with history, but in spite of its elegance, there is a kids menu available for the children in your party. We took my son there when he was 2 years old, and it was a great dining experience for everyone.
You won’t want to miss the Haunted Mansion Holiday and “it’s a small world” Holiday attractions, and the "Believe...In Holiday Magic" fireworks show’s finale of snowfall on Main Street, U.S.A. is a must-see. On the “Holiday Time at Disneyland” Tour, you'll hear holiday tales from Disneyland Park history, experience seasonal attractions and watch A Christmas Fantasy Parade from a reserved viewing area while enjoying a delicious treat and warm beverage. Please call (714) 781-TOUR (8687) to reserve your spot up to one month in advance.
I hope this helps, Rhonda. Please write back with more questions as you plan your pixie-dusted holiday vacation!
Wishing you magic,
Courtney
