Hi there, Julie, and welcome back to planDisney! Your
Walt Disney World Resort vacation is officially less than one year away, and the countdown is on! I have a feeling that this time is going to fly!
Julie, I’m so glad you’re able to take advantage of the promotion that includes free dining for Guests from the UK. I love using dining plans at Walt Disney World Resort because it feels like a great value and makes my vacation feel more all-inclusive. When you’re using a quick-service meal, you’ll receive an entree and a drink. I've found that the entrees include delicious accompaniments that perfectly complement the main course. Here are a few examples of exceptional quick-service meals that I love - while offerings are subject to change, you can’t go wrong with any of these delicious and filling options!
Head to
Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park for unique flavors that are difficult to find anywhere else. The American Kobe Cheeseburger at Yak and Yeti Local Food Cafes is served with French fries, and I recommend the refreshing Opici Family Sangria. Enjoy this filling meal in a shaded area just around the corner from the restaurant and soak up all the ambiance.
At Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo, the Endorian Fried Chicken Tip Yip is served with macaroni and cheese and roasted vegetables. This incredibly-themed quick service dining location is located in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at
Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Don’t worry, everyone’s welcome here, no matter which side of the Force you’re on!
At
EPCOT, look no further than La Cantina de San Angel in the Mexico pavilion in the World Showcase for a hearty meal with fresh flavors. The Tacos de Barbacoa are served alongside black beans and rice - delicious! You’ll love the beautiful views of the water as you dine.
Here's a bonus tip! Place a Mobile Food & Beverage Order within the My Disney Experience Mobile App well before you're ready to eat (I like to do this when waiting in a queue for an attraction). You'll choose a window of time to pick up your food, and you'll save time waiting! How easy is that?
Julie, I hope this is helpful as you begin to understand the nuances of dining at Walt Disney World Resort. I don’t know about you, but now I’m hungry! Please stop back by planDisney with any other questions you have!
Bon appetit!
Jennifer
