Amber,
Thanks for asking! Let me tackle this in order, starting with a brief review of Disney Genie+ and the Individual Lightning Lane programs.
So with
Disney Genie+, you can choose the next available boarding time at any of a number of attractions. With more than 40 attractions across the four park at the time of this answer, it is a great way to plan out your next thrill, but also be able to experience more of the parks before that boarding time comes due. You can purchase Disney Genie+ via your
My Disney Experience app.
As for the Individual Lightning Lane attractions, these are typically 1 or 2 of the more popular attractions at each of the given parks where you can pay for an arrival window time. The prices vary, based on demand, and this can help you lock in that
"Must Do!" experience that was at the top of your bucket list. You should also know that you don't have to have Disney Genie+ to purchase an Individual Lightning Lane pass. Another important note is that if you are staying at a Disney Resort Hotel you can make an Individual Lightning Lane purchase starting at 7 am the day of your visit, while other guests can start ordering when the park opens.
So I also made sure to consult with some of my planDisney friends, and they confirmed that your past experiences with the Disability Access Service will remain the same.
Ana Paula did mention that while return times continue to be handed out in the same way (through the My Disney Experience App) as in the past, the use of the Virtual Queue at
Remy's Ratatouille Adventure does make the experience just a tiny bit different. In that case, you return when your boarding group time comes up, and then you can proceed to the Lightning Lane.
So that is a lot to process, but I hope that it helps? Write me back with more questions if you need further assistance!
Have a Magical Vacation!
Doug
