Welcome to planDisney, Samantha!
I am happy to hear you are planning to
visit the Walt Disney World Resort with your little one! I have made magical memories with my daughters over the years, and I cannot wait for you to experience all the fun that awaits you.
I am happy to share that kids under the age of 3 are welcome to eat for free at locations that offer
all-you-care-to-enjoy dining experiences like
Chef Mickey’s,
‘Ohana, and
Liberty Tree Tavern, for example. All-you-care-to-enjoy restaurants offer buffet or family-style service, so your 2-year-old is welcome to eat at no charge. At other dining locations, like table-service restaurants offering a traditional menu where you can choose an entrée, for example, kids under 3 may share from an adult’s plate at no charge, or a separate meal may be purchased from the menu.
When my youngest daughter was 2, we spent the Christmas holidays at the Walt Disney World Resort. Sometimes she shared food from my plate, and sometimes I ordered something from the kid’s menu because she was very hungry. Other times, depending on the dining location, I even ordered an appetizer for her. My oldest daughter was ten at the time, so I remember they shared an adult entrée at two different dining locations.
planDisney tip: Although kids under 3 do not need theme park tickets and are not charged for dining, they still need to be included in
dining reservations so restaurants can set tables appropriately.
I hope this information is helpful, Samantha. Come back to visit us if you have additional questions, and have a magical visit to the Walt Disney World Resort with your little one!
Best Disney wishes,
Thiana
