Hi Carson!
Disney's Genie+ is here ready to help us reduce our line time, so we can spend more time flying with Peter Pan, zipping and dipping on roller coasters, and eating Mickey Premium Ice Cream Bars!
We've never had a friend like Genie before, so some aspects of the new system might be a bit in flux as the program rolls out. My understanding of Genie+, along with my experience with the former, very similar Disneyland MaxPass, is that after you tap into the
Lightning Lane of your scheduled ride or after two hours (whichever one is first), you may select your next attraction.
No announcements have been made about blocked out availability, but Genie+ and Lightning Lane individual availability can run out just as FastPass+ selections could. The more Guests in the park who want to ride Splash Mountain, the more likely it seems selections would all be booked at some point in the day. A highly sought after attraction like
Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance might run out of Lightning Lane options almost daily, while a less popular ride like Expedition Everest might rarely run out of express lane access.
Carson, I hope this helps you better understand Disney's Genie+. We will all be learning more about this new ticket add-on as we gather more experience.
Wishing you quick queues!
Elisabeth
