Is there any way expired photos on my account can be recovered? Some amazing photos which I want to pay for are now gone :(

    Hiya Christi,

Welcome to planDisney! I’m so happy you are here, and thank you for such a great question! I love taking photos at Walt Disney World Resort. It is always so fun reliving the magic of the vacation through your PhotoPass memories.

I’m so sorry to hear that your photos have expired; I’ve definitely had that happen to me before. I still kick myself when I think of this photo of me and my Han Solo in front of the Millennium Falcon that I let expire. Unfortunately, there is no way to store images permanently because of the many memories that Cast Members capture. However, there may be a chance that the photos can be recovered after the 45-day expiration date. Depending on when your photos were taken, you may be able to purchase a one-time expiration extension of 15 additional days. This would give you plenty of time to buy the pictures you missed out on last time. This can be requested through the Walt Disney World PhotoPass website or by reaching out to a Disney Expert on the freephone at 0800 169 0730 as another alternative.

I hope that you can retrieve your photos!

    Happy Planning,

    Ashley F.
