Can you use an expired military ID as a proof of service in order to book a room/check in at the Disneyland Hotels at the discounted rate? If not, what form of proof is needed for retired military personnel? Thank you!

Hey there, Thao! Welcome to planDisney. Before I get to your question, please let me take a moment to thank you for your service.

As an active duty military family, we are always appreciative of the offers Disneyland Resort extends to the military. If you are a retired member of the US military and are hoping to take advantage of the discounted room offer at Disneyland Hotels, you will need to present a valid military ID at the time of check-in. If you cannot produce a valid ID you will be charged a nondiscounted rate for the duration of the stay. You can find all of the important details of this offer on the offer page. Hopefully, you have a valid retired military ID so you can take advantage of this wonderful offer.

If you will be spending time in the parks, don't miss the long-standing tradition of the daily Flag Retreat Ceremony that takes place on Main Street, U.S.A., at the flag pole in front of the Disneyland Railroad Station.

Thao, thank you so much for stopping by. I hope you have a wonderful visit to Disneyland Resort. See you real soon!
