Hi there, Danielle!
Welcome back to planDisney! I love seeing questions from Guests who have contacted us in the past, and I hope you continue to reach out to us when you plan future Disney vacations.
The Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival is one of my favorite events at Disneyland Resort, and there are plenty of fun activities for you and your mother to experience. Of course, the highlights of the Festival are the food and beverages! I like to review the Disney Parks Blog Foodie Guide ahead of time to help make a list of my must-try items. With so many choices, it is easy to overlook some delicious options if I do not have a plan. There are a few choices that I highly recommend at this year's Festival:
- S’mores Caramel Tart, a graham cracker tart shell filled with caramel and chocolate ganache topped with a toasted marshmallow
- Cheeseburger Bao with Thousand Island dressing, grilled onions, pickle, and tomato relish
- Carbonara Garlic Mac & Cheese featuring Nueske’s Peppered Bacon
- IMPOSSIBLE Chicken Parm Bites with tomato and cheese sauces and grated parmesan (even non-vegetarians love this dish!)
- Mickey-shaped Macaron made with SNICKERS bar pieces
If you plan to sample a variety of items at the Festival, I recommend purchasing a
Sip and Savor Pass. The Sip and Savor Pass includes 4 or 8 digital coupons that can be redeemed for select food and nonalcoholic beverages at participating Festival Marketplaces and dining locations. I try to use my Sip and Savor Pass on the highest-priced items to get the best value. I like to get a few different items and head over to the
Paradise Garden Bandstand to listen to the live entertainment while enjoying my food! Check out the
Entertainment Schedule on the Disneyland website to see who will perform while you are there.
In addition to the great food, a few unique experiences will occur during your visit. I saw in one of your previous questions that your mom enjoys wine. She may be interested in attending one of the
Beverage Education & Tasting Seminars happening that weekend, such as the Ethel M Chocolate & Wine Pairings on April 20 and April 21, 2024. Chocolate and wine are the perfect combination! Brown Estate is also hosting multiple Wine Seminars, and Lauren "LP" Paylor of Drink Masters is teaching Mixology Classes. Prices vary and reservations for the Beverage Education & Tasting Seminars are required. Space is limited for these popular events, so make your reservations now if you want to attend!
Danielle, I hope you and your mother have a special, fun-filled trip to Disneyland Resort! We look forward to hearing from you again!
Magic Happens!
