We are going to experience MNSSHP this year & I need tips or pointers. Also I was not planning to wear disney themed costumes, would we be the only ones not in disney attire??

    Hi Deborah!

Congratulations on your upcoming visit to Walt Disney World and first time at Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party!

Since party tickets are limited per evening, you'll find that the crowd levels are lower than you'd expect to see during the regular daytime or evening hours in the parks. Upon arrival, be sure to pick up a Party Guide Map which will outline all the times you need to know regarding parades, fireworks, dance parties and character meet & greets. The Guide will also outline the locations of the Trick or Treat Trails around the park. Although you will receive a small, Trick-or-Treat Bag upon arrival at the party, I'd recommend that you bring along a secondary, larger tote bag of your own to transfer your candy too ... well - if you're an ambitious, candy-collecting crew you'll want to for sure! ;)

You'll see all sorts of costumes! Although Disney-themed costumes are certainly popular at the Happiest Place On Earth, don't feel badly if Disney Characters aren't in your current costuming plans! You'll find ghosts and goblins or all sorts, cute costumes, scary costumes, funny costumes, Disney costumes ... and even no costumes! Many guests opt to wear a Disney Halloween themed t-shirt or other Halloween themed clothing or accessories instead. Keep in mind of course that you'll be wanting to enjoy some attractions while you're in the park - so you want your attire to be comfortable and appropriate for the temperature which does tend to cool slightly in the evenings this time of year.

Make sure to pencil in time to see the "Boo To You" Parade! I'd recommend watching it from Frontierland so that you'll be amongst the first to have the parade finish - so you can get right on with more fun!

If you have additional questions, please don't hesitate to write me back Deborah! I just enjoyed the party last weekend and am headed back with my family next week! Can't wait!
