How do I make my experience better? I was unable to get fast passes in advance for the Toy Story rides even though I'm staying on a Disney property and I'm trying to add the fast passes 57 days in advance.

Hello Jenny, and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel with a very important question.

One of my favorite perks for staying at a select Disney Resort Hotel is the fact that I can make my FastPass+ selections 60 days prior to my arrival. I am sorry to hear that your experience has been less than magical. There have been times where I have logged in at 7:00 a.m. on the dot and found very limited availability for the most popular rides and attractions. There have even been times where I have tried to make changes a few hours later only to find that all FastPass+ slots have been distributed.

I have a few suggestions for you. First, keep checking periodically for availability. On a recent trip, I was able to get a FastPass+ for Alien Swirling Saucers just 2 days before I was to visit Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Openings may become available as other guests change their plans at the last minute and release their current FastPass+ selections. My next suggestion to you is to take advantage of the Extra Magic Hour in the morning if it’s available during your visit. Crowds are typically much lighter in the mornings and you will have a shorter wait for these attractions. My last suggestion to you is to arrive at Disney’s Hollywood Studios before it opens and head straight for the attraction that is at the top of your list. You may hear this referred to as the “rope drop” because Cast Members will allow guests into the park up to a certain point where they are held back by a rope until the park is open. You can also use the My Disney Experience Mobile App to get wait times for attractions in real time. This will also help you determine which attractions have the shortest wait times. I hope that helps and good luck with your the rest of your planning. If you have any more questions before you arrive, please come back and visit us again.

    See ya real soon,
