How much are you expected to tip at a table service meal. If you having a dining plan and scan your magic band will tips automatically be charged onto that or can you pay tips in cash?

Hello Phoebe and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel where as the current British Mum Panelist I just love assisting other Guests who also visit the magic of Walt Disney World Resort from across the pond in the United Kingdom!
I'm a huge fan of the Disney Dining Plans and absolutely love the complete freedom and choice they provide my family with to dine in more than 100+ dining locations across Disney property during our jolly holidays. Although at present gratuities are not included within the Disney Dining Plan packages they can be paid in either cash, credit card, Disney Gift Card or with a MagicBand if a credit card has been already linked via My Disney Experience.  However I'm happy to share that gratuities are indeed included when enjoying Dinner Shows, Cinderella's Royal Table and Disney Resorts In-Room Dining.
It goes without saying that when visiting restaurants or bars in the United States of America that it's customary to leave your server a tip or gratuity for good service of around 15% - 20% of the total bill and parties of 6 or more Guests dining together at Table Service restaurants at Walt Disney World Resort can expect an 18% gratuity to be automatically added to their total bill.
    Magical wishes,
    Jane
