Is there an expected date splash mountain will be closing?

Hiya, Rachel! Thanks for stopping by planDisney with your question!

Your October visit to the Happiest Place on Earth will be here before you know it… let the countdown begin! I checked the Disney Parks Blog and the Disneyland Resort website, and so far, there doesn’t appear to be an expected closing date yet for Splash Mountain. However, here’s what we do know: Splash Mountain will be undergoing a transformation, and will be reopening in late 2024 as Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, inspired by the movie, The Princess and the Frog. I took a look at the upcoming calendar, which lists theme park hours and attractions closed for refurbishment, and it’s currently updated through September 2, 2022, since it’s typically updated about six weeks in advance. I don’t see Splash Mountain listed under the “Closed for Refurbishment” section of the calendar, so it appears that it may still be open through that date. I recommend keeping an eye on the Disney Parks Blog for more updates about when this closure may happen, and continuing to check the calendar as it’s updated into the future. Hopefully it will still be open for your October visit, Rachel!

Speaking of October, I can’t wait for you to experience the happy haunts of Halloween Time at the Disneyland Resort! With awesome themed attractions, our favorite Characters in costume, and frightfully fun treats and eats, there’s truly something for everyone!

    Wishing you a "Zip-a-Dee-Doo-Dah" day!
