Hey there, Cameron! Welcome to planDisney! I'm so glad that you've stopped by with your vacation planning question!
When planning my family's magical vacations to
Walt Disney World Resort, I fancy myself being like Mary Poppins, creating fun and magic around every turn. But when I accidentally let my daughter's Walt Disney World Annual Pass expire (whoops!), I felt more like ... Goofy. But, gawrsh, even Mary Poppins is only
practically perfect, and even the biggest Disney fans and best Disney planners make mistakes, Cameron. Hakuna Matata! It means "no worries!" I am happy to hear that the magic is calling you, and I'm thrilled to answer your question today.
You are correct that currently, the sales of new out-of-state
Walt Disney World Annual Passes are temporarily paused, and unfortunately, there has been no announcement on when sales will resume again. But since the website still states that this pause is temporary, I am hopeful that new Annual Passes will become available soon, and I will be wishing upon every evening star that you get to answer the call of the magic! I suggest keeping an eye on
Disney Parks Blog and the
Passholder page on the Walt Disney World website for the news of Annual Pass sales resuming as soon as it drops.
Cameron, if you have a vacation to The Most Magical Place on Earth coming up in the next few months, I do suggest purchasing theme park tickets now so that you can make your
Theme Park Reservations via the Disney Park Pass system now and lock down your park days. Since these Park Pass reservations are required for everyone to enter all four of the theme parks at this time, this is a planning step that you definitely don't want to skip. Then, if the sales of new Annual Passes resume before the last day of your trip, upgrade your tickets to an Annual Pass! Mary Poppins returns!
I hope this was helpful, Cameron, and I hope you get to become an Annual Passholder once again very soon! Please stop by any time with any vacation planning questions you may have. You've got a friend in me!
I hope to see ya real soon,
Mandy
