Hello, we have an exiting reservation coming up,my sister is going to join us but has her own room. Would I be able to add/link her to our DVC reservation so we can include her under our benefits? Like the lounge at Epcot?

    Hiya Kathryn!

Welcome Home and welcome to planDisney! Thank you so much for stopping by with your question. You must be feeling so much Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah in your step knowing that your Walt Disney World Resort vacation is just around the riverbend!

How exciting that your vacation will include your sister.  Sharing the magic with family and friends is such a wonderful way to spend time together.

As you know, Kathryn, eligible Disney Vacation Club Members have access to a whole new world of Membership Extras and benefits, including discounts on shopping, dining, tours and tickets, and events and experiences.  As a cardholding Disney Vacation Club Member, you would need to be present and show your valid Membership Card and a photo ID when taking advantage of any of your benefits.  However, as a Member, you can have up to five Guests with you per Membership card to enter the Member Lounge at EPCOT.  This means, even if you link your sister's reservation to yours or add her as a Guest to your reservation, the Member still needs to be present to take advantage of this benefit.

Similarly, if you are taking advantage of any of the dining, shopping, ticket and tour, or event and experience discounts available to eligible Members, you would need to be present and show your Membership Card and a photo ID when purchasing or upon Check-In for the event.  Please note that the number of Guests permitted may vary based on the Membership Extra and benefit, so I would recommend double checking the Disney Vacation Club Membership Extras and benefits page for specific information.

If you want to add your sister to your existing reservation, meaning she would be staying in the same Disney Resorts Collection Hotel or on the same Disney vacation package, I would recommend calling Disney Vacation Club Member Services. The helpful Cast Members at DVC would be best suited to assist you with modifying your reservation and adding your sister to yours.

For linking her My Disney Experience account to yours, so that you can easily make dining and Disney Genie+ Lightning Lane and Individual Lightning Lane selections that include her as one of your Family & Friends, you can do that through the My Disney Experience app on your mobile device.  To do this, select the three horizontal lines at the bottom right of the app's home screen.  Select "My Profile." Then, tap on the blue "Family & Friends List" tab and you can add your sister by following the prompts. The Guests you add will be sent an email invitation. Once they accept the invitation, you'll be linked and set to go!

I hope this helps you, Kathryn, and that you have an oh-so-magical time making memories with your family. If I can help you any further, stop back and see me here at planDisney and I will be glad to assist you.

    See ya real soon!
