Hey Miguel
Thanks for stopping by planDisney!
It looks like you’ve got a trip to the
Most Magical Place on Earth coming up right around the corner! Planning your Disney Vacation is half the fun and it sounds like you’re putting the finishing touches on your packing! As a photographer, you’ll never catch me in the parks without my camera so I know how important it is to capture those memories on vacation either in a picture or a video. I have thousands of pictures of our Disney Vacations and as my kids get older, I am so thankful for them. My favorite video is from my son walking down Main Street U.S.A. for the first time, it was pure magic!
You’ll be happy to hear that at this time a gimbal is allowed into the theme parks and not on the list of
prohibited items. Please do not attach anything that would allow it to extend, otherwise that would make it prohibited in the parks. I have taken a gimbal into the theme parks on both coasts many times without a problem. Do remember that even though it is not on the list of prohibited items, security does have the final say on what you can bring inside. Also, make sure that when you’re filming you’re doing so in a way that any guest would normally do and you’re not interfering with the experience of other guests.
Well Miguel, I hope you are able to capture some smooth footage of your trip and create some memories to last a lifetime.
Remember, always believe in the Magic!
