I have existing reservations for September and my wife passed away on December 14th. What do I do?

Hello, Gary. Welcome to planDisney and thank you so much for bringing us your question. I’m so glad you’ve stopped by. First, I would like to say that I am deeply sorry for your loss. I wish you and your loved ones peace and comfort during this difficult time.

When it comes to a Disney vacation, please know that it is highly customizable. You do not have to make any decisions right away, as most Disney vacation packages booked directly from Walt Disney World can be canceled or modified up to 30 days before the date of travel without penalty. Therefore, you have ample time to make a decision. Whether you choose to postpone your trip or modify it, contact Disney Reservations via phone and they will be happy to make that change for you.

Gary, I hope you are able to continue making Disney memories with your loved ones and honor the memory of your wife as you do so. However, you have so much flexibility in your vacation plans, which I hope will be comforting to you and all who mourn with you. Please know that when you are ready, we would love to continue helping plan your next Disney getaway. Do not hesitate to come back and see us again anytime.

    Warmest wishes,
    Clara
