Aloha Christie! Thanks for sending another great question our way.
Disney's Polynesian Village Resort is one of my family's favorite places to stay in Walt Disney World. It was one of the first resort hotels to open and still maintains its original charm and tropical elegance. The new Moana-inspired rooms look amazing, and my little way finder can't wait to check them out.
Christie, it looks like you'll be arriving just a couple of days before the
Magic Kingdom Park celebrates its
50th birthday on October 1. Because so many visitors are excited to commemorate this occasion in the Most Magical Place on Earth, many hotels in the
Disney Resorts Collection have been booked for quite some time. I'm glad you secured a room already! There's still a chance Guests' plans will change, so I recommend checking frequently to see if any rooms at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort open up for your dates.
Guests who have booked vacation packages must pay in full or cancel 30 days before arrival, so your best chance of landing a reservation might be in August. As they say in Hawaii, Pomaikia'i! That means, good luck!
If you aren't able to upgrade your reservation,
Kona Café and
'Ohana will be open to all Guests by the time you travel. Consider making Advanced Dining Reservations here to take in the ambiance and cuisine of Disney's Polynesian Village Resort. On a recent visit, my family enjoyed breakfast at the Kona Café before heading over to the Magic Kingdom Park for the day.
'Ohana will reopen next month with a new menu, and I can't wait to try it later this summer.
I hope everything works out for you Christie, and you enjoy a relaxing vacation in Disney's tropical paradise this fall.
Mahalo!
