Greetings, Sheri!
Welcome to planDisney! I strongly believe that you can never go wrong with adding an additional theme park day. It's like having a bonus day to repeat some of your favorite attractions or catch a show that may not have fit in the first few day's schedule. And having the Genie+ service will enhance your days by giving you access to Lightning Lane. This will give you even more time for everything on your magical must-see list.
Adding an extra park day can easily be done in
My Disney Experience. Tickets that are part of a Walt Disney World Resort vacation package can be modified by choosing the My Plans option from the My Disney Experience drop-down menu, located on the
Walt Disney World website. Next to your Walt Disney World Resort hotel information, you should see a blue link titled Change Reservation. The link will take you to a page with all of the available change options, including ticket modification. You can add an extra day but adding the Park Hopper option would add the service to all of your ticket dates. Park Hopper cannot be added to an individual day of a multi-day ticket. You do have the option of purchasing a one-day ticket with the Park Hopper option and linking it to your account. I would recommend pricing out a one-day ticket and comparing it to the added cost of Park Hopper for your multi-day tickets. A single-use ticket has a higher cost per day than a multi-day ticket, so it's worth comparing.
Once you add the extra day, be sure to make your
Disney Park Pass reservations. All four theme parks do require a reservation in addition to a valid ticket. You do not need to make a reservation for the parks that you are Park Hopping to after 2 PM. Just be sure you enter the park you have a reservation for before hopping over to the next one!
I hope that your upcoming adventure is memorable and magical!
We'll see ya real soon!
