Hiya, Christine! Welcome to planDisney!
Visiting
Walt Disney World Resort is always a magical experience, but it's even better when you're sharing it with friends! You’re also visiting at a great time, Christine. I love visiting in August and September. The crowds tend to be lighter, and Halloween decorations begin to appear around property as well!
To answer your question, I’m happy to report that you will be able to add any Guests you are traveling with to your Family & Friends List. Once you’ve done that, you’ll be able to see, share, and make plans together with the other Guests in your travel party.
There are two ways to
add Guests to your Family & Friends List. The first is from a device of your choosing that has the
My Disney Experience app downloaded. Once you are logged in to your account and are on the welcome page of the app, follow these steps:
1. From the icons at the bottom of your screen, select the icon with the three horizontal lines, which is the rightmost icon.
2. Scroll down to the “Account” heading and tap on the “Profile” box.
3. Select the “Family & Friends List” icon at the top right corner of your screen.
4. Select the “Add a Guest” box.
5. From here, you will be prompted to either create a Guest or send an existing Guest an invitation to be added to your Family & Friends List.
6. Once they’ve accepted, you will be able to share and make plans together.
The second way is to do this from a web browser. To add Guests from a web browser, follow these steps:
1. Visit the Walt Disney World Resort website.
2. From the welcome page, select the menu in the top right corner labeled “My Disney Experience.” You may be prompted to log in if you haven’t done so already.
3. Navigate to “My Family & Friends.”
4. From here, you will be prompted to either create a Guest or send an existing Guest an invitation to be added to your Family & Friends List.
5. Once they’ve accepted, you will be able to share and make plans together.
And voilà! It’s that easy. Since you’re visiting in early August, I highly recommend considering attending
Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. This separately ticketed event is held on select nights from August 7 through October 31. It’s a frightfully fun time, Christine!
If you have any other questions as your visit approaches, please don’t hesitate to come back and see us here at

See you real soon!
