Hi Justine!
We are glad you came to
planDisney with your question. It’s wonderful to have a Disney cruise on the calendar, but it’s also important to know what the new protocols and procedures are before setting sail. I am more than happy to clarify these important rules regarding sailing requirements.
The important
Know Before You Go section of Disney Cruise Line’s website spells out which Guests are subject to being vaccinated. requirements. For sailings beginning on or after January 13, 2022, Disney Cruise Line requires that Guests ages 5 and older be fully vaccinated in order to set sail. Additionally, there are no exemptions to this requirement. The website states that for cancellations, amounts paid, minus cancellation fees and other amounts owed, will be promptly refunded.
Since your cruise is scheduled for June 2022, your itinerary is governed by the regular
Cruise Contract Terms and Conditions, so you can absolutely cancel. Cancellations must be by phone or in writing. If you cancel at least 90 days before your sail date for cruises 1-5 nights or 120 days for 6 nights or longer voyages, then you will not have any cancellation fees and would be able to get your deposit back. (This presumes your reservation is not Concierge level or a nonrefundable category.)
I hope this helps and that someday soon, you will be able to join Captain Mickey on an adventure at sea.
All the best,
Sherry
