Ahoy Heather!
Greetings and welcome to planDisney! We are so glad you stopped by with your question as I know it’s been a challenge to navigate the cruise planning waters lately. It’s my pleasure to help clarify these important rules regarding sailing requirements.
The Bahamas does require that all cruise ship passengers ages 12 and older be fully vaccinated in order for a ship to be allowed entry into any of its cruise ports. So the rules are crystal clear: Guests 12 and older must be fully vaccinated in order to sail with Disney Cruise Line. Additionally, there are no exemptions to this requirement. The initial time frame for this began on September 3rd and it is slated to run until November 1, 2021.
Since you will be sailing in January 2022, you will have to stay tuned to find out what the future rules hold. So much is being influenced by local government decisions. But you can be assured that Disney Cruise Line has the health and safety of its Guests and crew as a top priority. You can keep checking the
Travel Advisory page for updated information. You will also get the 411 about how these cruises are operating and what to expect on the
Experience Updates page.
Here’s hoping that very soon, you will be able to embark on a Disney cruise with your family.
All the best,
Sherry
